Gregory John Preece, 65 years old passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2017 at his home in Lakeside, Oregon.
Greg was born in Burbank, California on Dec. 5 1952 to parents Richard and Antoinette Preece. The family moved to beautiful Lake Tahoe, California in 1958, where he grew up. He migrated to Moscow, Idaho in the early 70’s where he built a beautiful home out in the country. Greg worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in Moscow and Lewiston for forty years until he retired in 2014.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping and fishing. He was a master gardener and a talented wine and beer maker. He loved the country western lifestyle and was a true modern day cowboy.
Greg has two children, Marrissa Preece and Benjamin Preece. They were his whole world and his pride and joy. They survive along with a grandson Mason Preece, his father Richard Preece, brothers Guy Preece and Jim Preece, sister Toni Crigger, and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother Antoinette Preece and an infant son Ryan Preece. Greg’s favorite quote was “Nothing lasts forever”, but he will always be in our hearts and forever in our thoughts. Greg was a loving son, father and brother and will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Moscow Cemetery.
