Kirk Penton Obituary

Kirk passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2018, at his home in Entiat, Washington. Kirk was born on July 18, 1968, in Moscow to Vance and Lola Penton.

Kirk attended schools in Moscow. His dad taught him to be a machinist from a young age and he became an excellent machinist and machinist programmer. Kirk worked in his dad’s machine shop for 12 years,  then moved to Wenatchee in June 1996, and then soon after he moved to Entiat, Washington. He started working for Cashmere Machine, which was bought out by Pacific Aerospace and Electronics, and he continued working there for 22 years until his death.

Kirk’s interests included hunting, fishing, coin collecting, and woodworking. He especially loved making things from wood and made many beautiful pieces of furniture, bowls, and picture frames just to name a few. He was a perfectionist with all his work and received many compliments from others.

Survivors include his father and mother, his two brothers Scott (Deana) Penton and Eric Penton, as well as his nephew Maverick Penton, niece Cherysh Penton, uncle Eugene S. (Hilly) Penton, and cousins Felicia Prickett, Denise Penton, and Tonya Cronister.

There will be a graveside service on June 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Moscow Cemetery.

Kirk very much loved animals since he was young, and took care of many different kinds throughout his life, so please make any gifts or donations to the Human Society of the Palouse AT 2019 E White Ave, Moscow, ID 83843 or to the donor of your choice.
