Wyatt Yager Obituary

We lost our beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend to so many on June 21st, 2018. Wyatt Joseph Yager was born at Gritman Medical Center on May 11, 1998, to Dennis and Patricia Yager. Wyatt grew up in Troy, Idaho where he attended kindergarten throughout his senior year, and graduated from Troy Jr/Sr High School.

As a child Wyatt loved playing all sports and that passion for sports lasted all the way through his senior year of high school. He received many awards and trophies for his achievements. His father, Denny, never missed one game his entire school career and proudly cheered him on at each game. Wyatt played football, baseball and loved, most of all, basketball. He not only loved to play but loved to coach other youth in basketball. He was just starting to teach his mini me, nephew Riley, his love of sports. Wyatt adored his nephew and they spent most of their time wrestling and goofing off every time they were around each other. Wyatt signed up for Hoop Fest every year with his good friends, he loved riding his dirt bike, and he also enjoyed snowboarding in the winter.  Wyatt was friends with everyone. His infectious smile and kind heart was known and remembered by anyone he ever met or knew, he never missed a chance to make a new friend. Wyatt was training to become a journeyman electrician, just like his father, recently working for Salmon Electric. Wyatt loved life and spending time with his family and all his friends. He planned to attend college in the fall to earn a degree in sports medicine, where he dreamed of coaching the sports he so loved playing.

Wyatt is survived by his father, Dennis Yager; mother, Patricia Yager; brother, Brian Yager; sister, Jennie (Joe) Allenby and nephew, Riley Vincent; Aunts: Pamela (Lowell) Haggard and Jeannie (Layne) Keithley; uncles: Bill (Cindy) Morrow and Bobby Morrow; Cousins: Jr (Heather) Morrow, April Morrow, Josh Morrow, Lacy (Dean) Judd, Blake Thompson, Max (Andrea) Johnson, Ryan (Silky) Johnson, and Rachel Sila.
