Andre K. Molsee

Mar 16, 1945 — Oct 18, 2026

Andre K. Molsee, 81, of Deary, Idaho, stepped into eternity on Sunday, October 18, 2026, surrounded by his children at his home.

Andre was born on March 16, 1945, in White Salmon, Washington, to Charles and Alice Molsee.

Andre lived life at full speed. Growing up on a farm, he developed a strong work ethic and later worked as a logger to put himself through college. He graduated from Washington State University with a degree in education, later earned a master's degree in school administration, and also completed law school. Despite his education and professional accomplishments, Andre was always most at home on the ranch or in the woods.

Over the course of his life, Andre wore many hats. He worked as a teacher and school administrator, operated a ranch, and pursued a variety of business ventures. In 1981, he and his then wife Nadine purchased a half interest in Lovell's Market in Elk River, Idaho, eventually transforming the business into what became known as Huckleberry Heaven. Later, he founded Shattuck Creek Outfitters, a business now owned and operated by his son.

Andre was a man who generally had more irons in the fire than hours in the day. Hardworking, determined, and occasionally hardheaded, he was never one to ask someone else to do a job he wasn't willing to tackle himself. He could be a man of strong opinions, but he was also quick to lend a hand when someone needed help.

Even in his later years, Andre never seemed to run out of projects or ideas. But as the years passed, he increasingly turned his attention toward people. He volunteered as a coach with the Deary track program, became active in Deary Community Church, and invested in the lives of those around him. As his physical strength declined, his faith in Christ seemed to grow stronger. He often returned to 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in all circumstances: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

While his family and friends will deeply miss him, they rejoice in the assurance that his earthly work is finished and that he is now at home with his Savior.

In 1965, Andre married Nadine Clinkingbeard, and together they had six children: Aaron, Ethan, Sarah, Amon, Laban, and Rachel. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1990. Andre later married Arla Shull in 1993; they divorced in 2020. Andre was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Molsee; his siblings, Abigail and Mark; and his children, Aaron and Sarah.

Andre is survived by his four children: Ethan Molsee (Melissa) of Togo, West Africa; Amon Molsee (Barbara) of Elk River, Idaho; Laban Molsee (Holly) of Albion, Washington; and Rachel Molsee of Quincy, California. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his brothers, Stephen and Timothy Molsee.

A memorial service celebrating Andre's life will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Deary Community Bible Church. Family and friends are invited to attend and stay for a community meal following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Andre's memory to make a gift to Deary Community Bible Church or to Bon Berger Christian School in Togo, West Africa, a ministry that held a special place in his heart following his visit earlier this year.
