The Angels flew Ardella home to Heaven on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the age of 89.

Ardella Muriel Johnston was born December 27, 1929, to LeRoy & Lucille Johnston of Walla Walla, Washington.  The family later moved and Ardella attended schools in Palouse and Moscow.  While attending Moscow High School, she met her future husband, Eugene R. Doyle, also of Moscow.

Ardella and Eugene were married June 5, 1948, and lived in and near Moscow till they moved to Palouse in 1959.  Ardella raised eight children and held multiple jobs outside of the home which included working at the University of Idaho, babysitting, and was Head Cook before retiring from Palouse School District in the 1980s.

Ardella and Eugene were married for 57 years prior to Eugene’s death in 2005.  The couple had eight children, Robin (Christine), Margene Karr, deceased (Norm, deceased), Gale (Sandy), Rodney (Betty Ann), Wayne (Kathy), Donald (Anita), Julie Aranzamendi (Phil) and Randy (Vicky) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service is planned for Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Moscow Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Diabetes Association.
