Betty Biggam

October 23, 1952 — January 17, 2017

Betty J. Biggam, loving wife, mother and grandmother, of Moscow, passed on to be with her Lord, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. She was 64. Betty was born October 23, 1952, in Moscow, to Lawrence E. and Joan B. Cleveland. She attended Moscow schools and graduated from Moscow high school in 1971. On June 15, 1973, Betty married Russell C. Biggam at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Moscow. Betty went to work for GTE out of High School, where she worked for 32 years before her retirement in 2000. After leaving GTE, she went to work for Latah County as a tax collector for 7 years before fully retiring. Betty enjoyed stamping up, card making and bunko parties with her friends. She enjoyed traveling and enjoyed trips to Puerto Vallarta (3), and swimming with dolphins (Porpoises) in Nueva Vallarta (2), cruises to Alaska (3), Hawaii and yearly trips with her husband Russell to the Oregon Coast. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence E. Cleveland and Joan B. (Cleveland) McRill. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Russell, at their Moscow home, daughter Jennifer D. (Ken) Gonzales, son William L. (Danielle) Biggam, Grandchildren Mitchell D. (Grace) Gonzales, and Rachael A. Gonzales., a brother, Ralph (Nan) Cleveland and a sister, Debbie (Bill) Stokes, 4 nephews, a grand nephew and two grand nieces. At Betty's request there will be no formal service. Memorials in honor of Betty may be sent to the Moscow Central Lions Club Foundation, P.O. Box 8655, Moscow, Id 83843 or to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Spokane at www.shrinershospitals.org/donate.
