Caroline Pearl Figgins

Caroline Pearl Figgins, 84, of Potlatch, ID, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Aspen Park of Cascadia in Moscow, ID. Funeral services are set to take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Short’s Funeral Chapel at 10am.

Caroline was born in Potlatch, Idaho, on March 5, 1942, to parents Effie Naoma Keiser (Kreid) and Leigh Stanley Keiser. She was raised in the Potlatch area alongside her older sister Dianne and younger sister Sandy. Caroline graduated from Potlatch High School in 1960 and later attended Kinman Business School. On March 11, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, Willis “Willy” Figgins, in Princeton, ID. The couple spent the first 14 years of their marriage in Onaway, ID, where they welcomed daughters Laurie and Linda. They then moved to Potlatch, ID, where they completed their family with the addition of their son, Russel.

Caroline had a wide range of hobbies; she loved sewing, knitting, gardening, camping, quilting, card games, cross-stitch, and fishing. Some of her fondest memories were made camping and fishing with family at a piece of property her father purchased outside of Clarkia, ID. She was an active member of 2 separate bowling leagues for a time, served on the board for Potlatch Credit Union, was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and worked for several years alongside her sister Dianne at the Idaho State Liquor Store in Potlatch. Caroline and Willy shared a passion for dance, especially square dancing, and enjoyed many years as members of Palouse Promenaders Square and Round Dance.

Caroline cherished her family and fully embraced her role as grandmother to her 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She and Willy attended countless events over the years in support of their family. While her children might have faced consequences for their mischief, her grandchildren could often get away with nearly anything. She dedicated countless hours to making quilts and cross-stitch projects for as many grandchildren and their families as she could until her health no longer allowed it.

Caroline is survived by her husband of 65 years, Willis, sister Dianne Nagle, her daughters Laurie (Karl) Larson, Linda (Randy) Hennigar, and son Russel (Ann) Figgins, 16 grandchildren, and19 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents Naoma and Stanley Keiser, sister Sandra Osborne, and infant great-granddaughter Abigail Larson.
