Cathy L. Lockhart Loney of Moscow, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 12th. She was proceeded in death by her father, William H. Lockhart, Mother, Natalie Chayer Lockhart and sister Susie Lockhart. She will be missed so much by those who survived her; daughter Krysten (Ed) Applonie, granddaughters Kimberly, Jaimie and Jessica Applonie, great grandchildren Lillian Applonie and Maximus McDaniel. Sisters Kerry Lockhart, Christy (Randy) Hunt, Joanie (Mike) Bosworth and her Brothers Jay (Julie) Lockhart and Jim (Melody) Lockhart. Also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Her family meant the world to her. Cathy was born on February 18th, 1948 to William and Natalie Lockhart in Ogden, Utah. Their family moved to Wallace, Idaho, where she grew up and graduated from Wallace High School. She then moved to Moscow, Idaho to attend the University of Idaho (U of I) and met and married James M. Loney. They had one daughter together, Krysten (Loney) Applonie, and divorced years later, but remained friends. In 1970 Cathy started working at the U of I where she met many great friends and retired in 2003. Cathy was in many clubs/organizations throughout high school and continued this throughout her life. She was still a member of UIRA, and the Road Runners, whom she enjoyed traveling with. She also enjoyed playing Bunko with good friends and was on a women's bowling team which she loved and would compete nationally with. Cathy was an amazing woman who enjoyed traveling, living life to the fullest and always left everyone with a smile on their face. She was such a blessing to us all. Funeral services will be held at Shorts Funeral Chapel, 1225 E. 6th St., Moscow, ID, on January 9th, at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at the 1912 Center, located at 412 3rd St, Moscow, ID.
