Clara Neyens

Clara M. Neyens, lifelong Genesee resident, died Sunday October 1, 2017 at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow. She was 89. Clara was born August 6, 1928, in Genesee to Effie and Joe Neyens. She graduated from Genesee and lived in Genesee with her brother Richard and sister Mary until their passing. As a young girl you could often find Clara and her siblings driving tractors, mending fences with her siblings or tending her garden. Clara and Mary were known for their garden and bountiful harvests that they would share with friends by canning hundreds of jars of fruits and vegetables, as well as sauerkraut. Clara was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Genesee, the Altar Society and Ladies of St. Mary's, and a member of Genesee Senior Citizens. Clara was preceded in death by her brother Richard and sister Mary. The rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. on Friday October 6, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Genesee with a Funeral Mass following at 11:00.
