Claude Kellberg

Claude O. Kellberg of Moscow, Idaho, passed away Oct. 23, 2024, at the age of 91. He was born in Troy, Idaho, on Aug. 28, 1933, to Oscar W. and Ruth C. Kellberg.

He graduated from Troy High School in 1951. Claude was a farmer on Burnt Ridge in Troy. He then went on to work at the University of Idaho as a Custodian Foreman for 23 years, retiring in 1995. His hobbies included genealogy and collecting photos of his life, his travels, and his family.

He had memories of growing up on the farm in Troy with no electricity until 1943; of Burnt Ridge Country School, a one-room school building with all eight grades; of farming done with horses; and of harnessing the horses to a sleigh on Christmas day to ride to town for the morning service at Troy Lutheran Church.

For the last 15 years, he enjoyed life at Fairview Estates Lodge in Moscow.

Claude did not have any children. He was preceded in death by his brother Carl L. Kellberg and his sister Ellen G. Brown, and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and their families.
