Claudia Rae Mulalley, of Moscow died Wednesday April 2, 2025 at her home in Moscow. She was 89.
Claudia was born July 27, 1935 in Kamiah, Idaho to Emil and Mildred Snyder. She grew up in Kamiah attending local schools while working on the family farm. While in high school, she met and married Dale Dahlin.They lived in Moscow Idaho and raised 3 children, Ed, Debbie and Cathy. They later divorced but kept in touch throughout the years.
While raising the children, Claudia worked as a homemaker, seamstress, and caretaker for Dale’s parents. During this time, she was employed at Montgomery Wards, Avon sells, Motel housekeeping and later went to work at Latah County Grain Growers as a secretary. There she met Eugene Mulalley, and the couple were married for 49 years before her passing.
In 1990, Claudia and Eugene retired from Latah County Grain Growers and they moved to Lewiston. Claudia and Gene spent lots of time camping, traveling and as much time at Dworshak Reservoir fishing as they could. She enjoyed sewing often making her own clothes. She was an outstanding cook and was often canning all her goods. Claudia and Eugene looked forward to their yearly time dancing at Wilderness gateway or traveling to the coast. They loved walking the beach and looking for seashells. Both were avid members of the local Rock and Gem Club for many years prior to moving to Lewiston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Wayne and James Snyder,and Son Edward Dahlin.
Claudia is survived by her husband, Eugene Mulalley, daughters, Cathy and Deborah Dahlin and grandchildren Emily Simmons, Aaron Headrick and step son Dennis Mulalley. Along with her two sisters Carol Farley and Janet Hendren.
Viewing will be held from 12-4 on Tuesday April 8, 2025 at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. of Wednesday April 9, 2025 at the Moscow Cemetery.
