Crystal Lynn Darrington was born August 14, 1975, in Lakewood, WA, to Diane Schultz and Alfred Bray. She lived in the area over there until 1983, when she and her family moved to Pullman, WA. In 1987, a couple of years after the move to Pullman, Crystal lost her father to an accident. After a while, her mother found her stepfather, Richard Schultz, and they moved to Moscow, where she established her permanent residence. Richard had two children: Dave (Marion) Schultz and Frankie (Scott) Hashagen. Crystal had three wonderful daughters and three husbands. Her first two daughters, Ashley and Melody, were born to her first husband, Mike Mantz. Her third daughter, Hanna, was born to her second husband, Ryan Baumgartner. She did not bear any children to her last husband, Scott Darrington. She was the best mom despite her abilities- in 2009, she had a spinal cord surgery, causing paralysis and leaving her unable to walk, talk, or care for her children. Her children were everything to Crystal. Because of them, she fought hard to learn life all over again. Her girls were her pride and joy. Crystal was kind, caring, empathetic, and loving. She was always helping people in need and doing everything for her kids. She will be deeply missed.
Crystal is survived by her brother, Tim (Nicole) Bray of Spokane Valley, WA. Her Boyfriend, Jeremy Sanberg of Moscow, ID. Her three loving girls are Ashley (Rieder) Woodland of Moscow, ID, Melody Mantz of Moscow, ID, and Hanna (Aidan) Baumgartner of Corpus Christi, TX. She also has two grandchildren, Peyton (4) and Delilah (1), plus her grand kitty, Luna. She also has many more family members, friends, and people who love her. She passed away peacefully and was loved at home by family who surrounded her during her last moments of life.
She was greeted in heaven by her parents, grandparents, and so many other family members, friends, and pets on the other side. She is running and dancing, watching true crime, and drinking all the Pepsi she can dream of. Mom loved dogs, camping, watching scary movies and shows, spending time with her kids and grandkids, traveling with her family, yard selling, and thrift shopping.
There is not currently a date set for her service, but that will be determined soon.
