Darin Eugene Anderson

Darin Eugene Anderson was born in Potlatch, Idaho on July 26, 1929 to Victor and Pearl Anderson. He died on September 7, 2025 at 96 years old.

Darin graduated from Deary High School and then served in the Army during the Korean War. After his stint in the Army, Darin worked as a logger, but soon decided to become a farmer instead. For the rest of his life, he farmed areas around Park, Big Bear Ridge, Oviatt Meadows, and at their homestead in Deary, Idaho.

Darin married Virginia Ruth Hurlbert in 1954. They had three children: Dale Eugene, Vicki Lyn, and Nancy Lee. Darin loved to read, fish, make wine and was an avid beekeeper. He belonged to the Deary Lions Club, Elks Club, Gideons, and the John Birch Society.

A memorial service will be held for Darin, Nancy, and Dale September 12, 2025 at 11:00am and Zion Lutheran Church in Deary, ID with a reception to follow.
