David M Bull

David Michael Bull of Moscow, Idaho passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the age of 84.

David was born June 1, 1940, to Cecil and Bessie (Tidwell) Bull in Moscow, Idaho.  He was raised on their family farm and graduated from Moscow High School. He also received the State Farmer Degree and later the American Farmer Degree from the Future Farmers of America. He married Joanne Olson on August 22, 1964 in Moscow.

He joined the US Army and later served in the National Guard. He drove Armored Personnel Carriers and was an Expert Marksman and Sharpshooter. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant, E5. He started farming with his wife shortly after marriage and continued until their retirement in 2004. During this time he also worked for Crites Moscow Growers.

David was an Idaho Wheat Commission Board member. He received a distinguished service award from the Latah Soil and Water Conservation District in 1976. He was the Latah County Fair Swine superintendent for many years. He was a 4-H leader while his children showed swine and sheep at the Latah County Fair. He was an avid collector of toy farm equipment which his grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed looking at during each visit.  He loved watching the Hallmark channel and watching old Western movies with his wife.

David is survived by his son, Duane Bull of Lewiston, daughter Pamela (Jerry) Hindberg of Moscow. Grandchildren, Justin (Lindsay) Bull, Austin (Haylee) Bull, Ashley (Mitchell) Nelson, Amanda (Ryen) Atkinson, and Nicole Hindberg. Great Grandchildren, Addie, Dawson, and Brody Bull, Willow Atkinson, and Reece Nelson, who is due to arrive in May. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne and his parents.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Royal Plaza and Advanced Home Care and Hospice in Lewiston for their support and compassion while caring for him. At David’s request, there will be no service.  The family asks any memorials be sent to Shriners Children’s Hospital in Spokane or the Troy FFA Alumni.
