Dawn Price

Dawn Shahan Price formally of Moscow, Idaho passed away on Sept 23, 2016 at St Joseph's Regional Hospital in Lewiston, Idaho at the age of 61 with her daughters at her side.

Dawn was born May 28, 1955 to Royce and Sherry (Flowers) Shahan in Colfax, Washington. Dawn grew up on the family ranch at the base of Steptoe Butte. She attended grade school in Steptoe, WA, Jr high and high school in Colfax, WA where she graduated in 1973. Dawn later moved to Moscow, Id where she attended Mr. Nicks Beauty Collage (Mr. Leon's) which started her career as a beautician.

In 1979 Dawn married Jim Price of Deary, Id on June 29 1979. They went on to welcome their first daughter Jamie in 1980, second daughter Ashley in 1984. They lived in a wonderful home that Dawn was able to work from, which allowed her to always be there for her girls. She and Jim later divorced in the early 90's. 1993 she met Darrell Hall of Moscow and they joined their families together starting their 22 year relationship. In 2004, Dawn had a devastating stroke that forever changed hers and her families' way of life. With that stroke she found that her juvenile diabetes had reeked havoc on her body and this started her need for dialysis and a move to Lewiston, Id where she and Darrell could live in a wheelchair accessible home. Her doctors said her time on earth was short for her but Dawn did not let this dampen her spirits. She stayed brave, strong and she never lost her sense of humor through the next 12 years. Dawn was such a fun and loving spirit and she was so giving of herself and she made sure that her family had everything they could ever want.

Preceded in death by her parents Royce and Sherry Shahan.

Dawn is survived by her daughter's Jamie Price ( Josh McCullough) of Moscow, Ashley Price (David Donaldson) and two grandson's Hunter and Brian of Lewiston, Stepson Tayler Hall of Lansing, Michigan, Her amazing sister Mikelyn Getz of Colfax and brother Ron Shahan of Steptoe and many nephews and nieces in WA and ID.

Dawn was so blessed in her 62 years of life to have such wonderful and caring friends and family, she would want you all to know how much she truly loved you. Also a special thank you to all of her wonderful care providers over the years, you are all more like family. You were all such a blessing to her and she loved you all very much.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am October 25, 2016 at Shorts Funeral Chapel in Moscow . Afterwards her family would like to invite you to The Church of the Nazarene for some refreshments to continue the celebration of Dawn's life.
