Derrick Dahlin

September 11, 1966 — February 5, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Derrick Duane Dahlin, who passed away on February 5, 2026 in Spokane Washington from complications related to Crohn’s disease and heart related issues. Derrick was 59 years old.

Born on September 11, 1966, to Gloria and Richard Dahlin, Derrick grew up in Moscow, ID and always considered it his true home, even after living in Spokane for many years. He had a lifelong passion for sports and thrived as an athlete in his younger years. Those who knew him will remember him not only for his athleticism but for his unending kindness, faith and deep love for others.

Derrick is survived by his loving mother, Gloria Dahlin; his brother, Chris(wife Dawn) Dahlin, his sister Stacey(husband Lance) Lincoln; nephews Brandon(wife Jessie) Lincoln, and Tyler Lincoln; niece Malia Lincoln; and his great nieces, Avery & Piper Lincoln. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Derrick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dahlin, and his nephew, Dylan Lincoln.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12 from 2-4 p.m. at Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow. A graveside service will take place on Friday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Cemetery in Deary, ID.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bethany Assisted Living Home and ARC of Spokane for their compassionate care of Derrick.
