Richard Lee "Dick" Salisbury, 75, of Moscow, Idaho passed away unexpectedly April 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. A celebration of his life will be held at the Moscow Church of the Nazarene at 2:00 pm, Friday April 14th. Dr. Randall Craker will be officiating. Dick was born July 30, 1941 at Caldwell, ID to Milton A. and Esther Daniels Salisbury. At the age of 6 Dick felt God's call into ministry. God led him to college at NNU and Nazarene Theological Seminary. For 25 years, he was a devoted voice of God. The Nazarene Church gave him a pulpit to spread Christ's Word of love and redemption. After these years of ministry in the Northwest, Dick was in a car accident that led to his eventual retirement. His focus of ministry, caring, and prayer were a daily calling on his life. Dick is survived by his wife, Joann, of 52 years, and by his children, Kurt and Lisa Salisbury, Kevin and Malissa Salisbury, Kory Salisbury, Sue and Tim Norvell. He had 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Also surviving are a brother, Edwin Salisbury and three sisters, Marybeth Salisbury, Nancy Warren, and Margret McPherson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Viewing will be at Short's Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from noon until 6:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The family suggests memorials be made to the Union Gospel Mission, 1224 East Trent Ave., Spokane, WA 99202.
