Donald K. Corner, born January 4, 1953, in Wichita, Kansas, to Alva and Lois Corner, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and the faith he lived by every day.
Don devoted his life to serving God and others. He faithfully preached for 35 years at the Pullman Church of Christ in Pullman, Washington, sharing the Gospel with conviction, humility, and deep love for people. He was a proud graduate of Sunset School of Preaching, completing his studies in January of 1982.
On July 3, 1981, Don married the love of his life, Melody, beginning a marriage marked by devotion, partnership, and joy. Together they built a life rooted in faith and family. Don was a devoted father to his four children—Michelle, Ashley, Gabby, and Titus—and three children through marriage Eddie, Richard and Nadine, he took immense pride in each of them.
In addition to his ministry, Don worked for 30 years as a rural mail carrier in Moscow, Idaho, serving his community with the same dedication and reliability he brought to every part of his life.
Don found great joy outdoors. He loved skiing, hiking, camping, mini golf, and anything that allowed him to spend time with his family. He was a fiercely competitive and enthusiastic card player, always ready for a game. A lifelong and unwavering Kansas City Chiefs fan, Don cheered them on faithfully from birth to his final day.
He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren—Nickolas, Deborah, Keith, Piper, Ian, Oliver, and Lenora—each of whom brought him immeasurable joy and pride.
When asked about his favorite Bible verse, Don would often say it was whichever one he was quoting at the time. The same was true of his favorite hymn—he never found one he didn’t love. His faith was not only preached but lived, reflected in his words, actions, and the legacy he leaves behind.
Donald K. Corner will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his deep love for his family, his servant’s heart, and the joy he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
