Dorothy Beckner

Dorothy Beckner, of Potlatch, passed away peacefully at La Dow Court in Garfield Tuesday afternoon, November 15th, with her family and the wonderful staff by her side. She was 92. Dorothy was born in Potlatch, Idaho to Ross and Pearl Culton on September 29th, 1924. She attended a rural school until moving in with family in Moscow to finish high school. One week after graduating she married Virgil Beckner on May 31, 1942 in Viola. They were happily married for 68 years until his death in 2010. Dorothy had four full time jobs raising Bruce, Larry, John, and Doug, as well as 20 grandkids. The family would like to thank the incredible people at La Dow Court for the loving care they gave to our "gramma Dorothy". In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations made to the Potlach Ambulance. Burial will take place at Rock Creek Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Princeton Church of the Nazarene. A Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall.
