Ernest C. Smith

Ernest C. Smith, age 78, passed away  peacefully at home January 15, 2024.

He was born in Moscow, Idaho to Clarence Smith of Troy and Martha(Shenaman) Smith of Beaver City, Nebraska and was raised in Troy Idaho. Following graduation from Troy high school  he attended The College of Idaho, played football and enjoyed social life. He married Linda Deesten of Moscow in 1968. They moved back to Troy, Idaho and raised their children Lori and Ole. Ernest most enjoyed being involved in small town activities and farming.

He later remarried Alice(Lucker Polichio)of Council, Idaho.  He resided in his home town of Troy with his beloved wife Alice until his death. He is survived by his wife Alice, his children Lori (Thomas) Rohde of Athol, Idaho and  Ole (Sarah) Smith of Snoqualmie, Washington  and step children Michelle Polichio of Greenville,Pennsylvania  and Michael Polichio of Bridgeville,Pennsylvania.  His sister Louise (Richard) Marone of Moscow,Idaho, brothers John (Darlene) Smith  of Lewiston,Idaho  and Bruce (Rebecca) Smith of  Troy, Idaho. He had four grandchildren  and two great grandchildren  and enjoyed spending time with them.

A celebration  of life will be held in the summer of 2024.
