Eugene Walter Mulalley passed away July 18, 2025 at his home in Moscow, ID. He was 101.
Gene was born April 6, 1924 to Walter and Georgia Stroebel Mulalley in Moscow. He was raised in the Lenville area on the family farm. Gene worked really hard for his dad. He graduated from the Genesee High School in 1943.
He married Geneva Fisher November 15, 1945 and they had 2 sons, Dennis and Martin. They later divorced. Gene worked at Mac’s Appliance for a few years then drove a gas truck for the Latah County Grain Growers from 1953 to 1990, 37 years. He met Claudia Dahlin, who worked as a secretary there. The couple were married November 14, 1975 for 49 years, before her passing April 2, 2025.
In 1990, Gene and Claudia retired from the Grain Growers and Moved to Lewiston, ID. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and as much time fishing at Dworshak Reservoir as they could. Both were avid members of the Moscow Star Garnet Club for many years.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Georgia, his wife, Claudia, two brothers, Laverne and Jack Mulalley, two sisters, Shirley Zellerhoff and Maxine Larson, infant son, Martin Dean Mulalley, stepson, Ed Dahlin and great granddaughter, Sabrina Cole.
Gene is survived by one brother, James Mulalley, a son, Dennis Mulalley and his wife, Lori, two Step daughters, Cathy and Deborah Dahlin, five grandchildren, Nathan Mulalley, Tara Mulalley, Molly Hohenstreet, Emily Simmons, Aaron Headrick, and two great granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Liliana Hohenstreet.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 at 1:00p.m. at Moscow City Cemetery.
