Everett Brown

November 20, 1927 — November 20, 2016

Everett L. Brown of Juliaetta died Sunday, November 20, 2016, on his 89th birthday at Aspen Park in Moscow. While at Aspen Park he was cared for by the loving Staff, that took such great care of Everett, we will always be grateful. We will also be forever grateful to Dr. Ting and his Staff for the great care of both Everett and Mae during their lives. We would also like to send a special thank you to Everett's bingo and pinochle buddy Leroy Larsen, who has been Everett's friend and protector while he was at Aspen Park. Everett was born November 20, 1927 in LaVeta, Colorado to Lewis and Lily Brown. The family lived in various Colorado locations while he was growing up. In 1945, Everett joined the U.S. Army. Following his discharge, he returned to Colorado and married Eletha "Mae" Worl in Cortez, Colorado on May 31, 1953. They moved to Bovill, Idaho in 1956, and later to Helmer, his love of farming lead him to have a hobby farm at Helmer most of his life, where he raised wheat, hay and cows. Everett worked for the J. R. Simplot Company as a foreman for 16 years. He then went to work driving road grader for Bennett Lumber. He and his brother Virgil owned and operated Brown Brothers Repair in Kendrick, he also worked for Don Port as a mechanic in Troy, and then he drove road grader for Tom Dean Logging after his "Retirement". Everett enjoyed bowling on leagues for many years, he also enjoyed the outdoors. Time spent camping, hunting and fishing with Mae and his children was a very happy and important time to him. Most of all he enjoyed being with family and always put their wants and needs ahead of his own. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mae, in 2011 as well as a daughter, Ellen Stuart in 2015 along with four brothers, Bob, Clarence, Emery, and Donald. Everett is survived by Duane (Cindy) Brown of Deary Idaho and Norman (Carol) Brown of Columbia Falls, Montana, his grandchildren, Nathan (Amanda) Boyer, Jed Boyer, Angela (Andy) Norton, Corey (Ashleigh) Brown, Lani, Justine and Lily Brown. Also surviving are his brothers, Virgil (Darnella) Brown of Juliaetta and Harvey (Susie) Brown and Lester Brown, of Lewiston. A celebration of life potluck dinner will be held at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, December 4th at the Deary Community Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to Short's Funeral Chapel, Moscow, and online condolences may be sent to www.shortsfuneralchapel.net.
