Gloria Dawn Jensen of Deary died Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at her home. She was 76. Gloria was born May 18, 1940 in Moscow to Hans Lewis and Vada R. Shove Jensen. The family lived at Bovill and Gloria graduated from Deary High School in 1958. In 1959 she moved to Moscow where she went to work for Weisel Insurance Agency at a bookkeeper. She later worked for Roy Spencer in Pullman making "logging tapes" and was a bookkeeper. Gloria worked for Palouse Empire Plumbing and Heating for several years as a bookkeeper. She moved back to Deary and worked for the Deary Mercantile prior to her full retirement. Gloria enjoyed reading, watching TV, her computer and traveling to casinos. Surviving are her sister, Violet Jensen and brother Joe and his wife Wendy all of Deary along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Jensen in 2014. At her request, there will be no formal service. She will be laid to rest with her parents at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Moscow around the time of her birthday. Remembrances are suggested to the Deary Fire and Ambulance Fund.
