Hellen Jackson

Hellen E. Jackson, born November 1, 1937 and life-long resident of Coos Bay, Oregon died Monday May 15, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Viola, ID at the age of 85.

Hellen was born in North Bend, Oregon to Clifford and Elva Osborn. She was raised in Coos Bay, attending Sumner Elementary and graduating from Marshfield high school in 1954. She married Clifford Gaines in 1955 and they had three children; KO, Cheri & Renee.

Hellen dedicated her life to raising her children, always present for all their activities. In 1985 Hellen married Clyde Everett Jackson. They had many adventures, enjoying hunting, fishing, and prospecting for gold. She also enjoyed sewing, jewelry making gardening. She leaves behind a legacy in her love for flowers and rock collecting. Hellen was a long-time member of the Green Acres Church.

She is survived by her children KO (Russel) Spangler, Cheri (Roger) Goude & Renee (Larry) Griggs. Grandchildren; Bethany, Rebekah, Frank, Mollyrose, Cherise, Katie, Brittney, Scott & Tyann, along with 12 great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at the home of Russell and KO Spangler’s in Viola, Idaho on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
