Ida Pepe, 97, Pullman, Wash., formerly Moscow, Idaho

Ida Pepe passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Bishop Place in Pullman, Wash., one week short of her 98th birthday.

Ida was born July 22, 1920, to Agatha and Paul Stella, in New Haven, Conn. She worked as a bank teller after graduating high school. She met Al Pepe in 1940 and they were married August 3, 1941, in New Hyde Park, N.Y.

They had two daughters, Alida in 1949 and Karin in 1952, then moved to East Northport, N.Y., in 1956. Ida enjoyed gardening, sewing, was active in the PTA and worked as a secretary for the school district.

Ida and Al retired and moved to Moscow in 1979. Ida worked at Dahmen insurance until 1982. They moved to Fairview Village in 2013, then Bishop Place in 2018, where she blossomed in a vivacious, friendly, happy resident.

Ida leaves her husband, Al; daughters Alida Bockino and Karin Clifford (Greg), of Moscow; grandchildren Michael Bockino (Kaiya), Emily Twiggs (Kevin) and Nancy Bockino (Colin Wan); sisters Helen Pratt and Angie Yerkes (Warren).

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Moscow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Moscow Volunteer Ambulance Company or the Humane Society of the Palouse.
