Vincent M. "Jack" Cass and Mary M. Eveland Cass A graveside service for the inurnment of Vincent M. "Jack" Cass and Mary M. Eveland Cass will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:30 AM and the Dry Creek Cemetery near Deary with a luncheon to follow. Vincent "Jack" Cass was born March 29, 1926 in Onaga, Kansas to Emile F. and Waunita A. Perrussell Cass. After school, Jack joined the United States Navy completing his training at Faragut Naval Training Station and was deployed to the South Pacific Theatre and served aboard the USS Franklin. After the war, Jack attended the University of Idaho and in 1948 married Mary Alice Hammond. After their divorce in 1970, Jack and Mary Eveland married on April 15, 1973 in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Jack and Mary were inseparable and spent many hours together in long-haul trucking. After retiring, they moved to Kansas to care for Vincent's mother and to run the family farm. Jack returned to his home in heaven on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2014. Mary Marguerite Eveland Cass was born August 17, 1927 in Keno, Oregon to Wallace and Ruth Caldon. She worked in the Soils Laboratory at the University of Idaho for over 20 years. Mary returned to her Maker and Savior on January 25, 2012. Jack and Mary are survived by their children, Theodore Vincent Cass of Sandy, Utah; Waunita Lee Prater of Hayden, Idaho; Thomas Miles Cass of Moscow, ID; Maccel Anderson of Sheridan, Montana; Marvin Eveland of Lewiston, ID and Murl Lewis of Blackfoot, ID and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
