John W. Rector (1966-2023)

John W Rector, 57, of Genesee Idaho, died on Dec 19, 2023. John was born in Ballard, Washington on June 15th, 1966 to Jeanne and Charles Rector. John attended High School in Centralia, Washington before obtaining his bachelor’s in Safety and Health Management from Central Washington University.

John met the love of his life, Annette, in 1998. On May 15th , 2004, he married Annette Walch in Olympia, Washington and together raised three children: Jacob Rector, Andrew Rector and Isaac Rector. John had a special spot in his heart for his dogs, treating each and every one with love, just like his children. John enjoyed traveling with his family to see the National Parks and other wonderful destinations, like Disneyland. John also could be found spending time in the garage tinkering while also finding time to work on his hot rods and attending car shows.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Annette Rector; sons, Jacob Rector, Andrew Rector, and Isaac Rector. His mother Jeanne Rector; sister Kimberly Rector; brother James Rector.

John was preceded in death by his father, Charles, and his grandparents Ruby and Walter Rector, Mable and Alvin Nelson.

The graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic cemetery, 1047 Genesee Ave, Genesee ID on January 4 , 2024, at 2pm. A celebration of life will be held in Lewis County, WA in the Spring.
