John D. Young was born May 1st,1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Charles Young Sir and Lora Loreane Young who raised him along with his siblings in the small town of Rover, Arkansas. At about 16 he left Arkansas to travel and work across the US starting along the eastern US to the Portland, Maine area and gradually moving west. By the late 70's he had made his way to Southern Idaho working for Idaho Forestry cutting trails and more when he met and married Sandra R. Loney, moved to Moscow and had their only daughter, Aubrey Loney-Young, in may of 1981 in Pullman, Washington divorcing not long after. Later during his engagement to Loreena Miller their only son, Quinn C Miller-Young, was born in 1992 here in Moscow. John worked for the University of Idaho for over 20 years while living here on the Palouse before an early retirement due to a severe back injury. He remained here to be close to his two children as well as near their respective maternal families who both reside in Idaho. Along with his daughter and son, John is also survived by siblings Charles, Glen, Johnnie, Edna, Betty, and Gloria, now joining his late siblings Bobby, Larkin, and Anamay.
