Jolene M. Susa

July 13, 1977 — October 19, 2025

Jolene Marie Susa, 48, of Moscow, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025 at the UW Medical Center in Seattle. She was surround by close friends and family.

Jolene was born on July 13th, 1977 to Wayne and Betty Susa. She spent most of her life in Moscow, Idaho, graduating from Moscow High School and the University of Idaho. She spent many years running her own daycare, providing the kind of love and fun that only someone with her heart and dedication could offer. At the time of her death, she worked for CHAS Dental Clinic as a dental assistant.

Jolene had two daughters, Carissa (20), and Kasey (17). These girls were the light of Jolene’s life. She put her heart and soul into raising her girls, teaching them love, responsibility, and kindness. Jolene’s determination to overcome obstacles throughout her life set an example for all whose lives she touched. Where others would have given up, she leaned in.

Jolene enjoyed camping, fishing, and her beloved Seattle Seahawks and University of Idaho Vandals. You could catch her in the stands at games every chance she got. She also adored supporting her girls’ activities, including band, symphony, volleyball and softball. She made sure the girls had everything they needed. She also made sure she was at every single game possible, home or on the road. Although she did have to miss some events, she was fortunate enough to be at softball games last summer before her need for cancer treatments intensified.

Jolene was quick to decide on a dinner plan, save up and book adventures, and inform those around her of the correct way to do things (her way!). She loved a good drink and deep chat.

Jolene was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Wayne. She leaves behind her mother, Betty, brother, Derek, daughters, Carissa and Kasey, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

At Jolene’s request, no formal services will be held. However, an open house style celebration will be held at the Moose Lodge in Moscow, Idaho, on Sunday, October 26th at 5PM. All are encouraged to wear red (Jo’s favorite color) or your favorite football team apparel.
