Judith Mix

Bellevue, WA resident, Judith Joan Mix died at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA from complications from breast cancer on July 26, 2025.

She was born in Moscow, ID on February 22, 1940 to Leo and Mildred McGarvey. Judy attended public schools in Moscow and graduated in 1958. She went on to the University of Idaho and was a member of the Kapa Kapa Gama Sorority, graduating with a B.A. in 1962.

She married Terry Mix and had a daughter, Michelle. The couple later divorced.

Judy spent 22 years working as a VP/corporate secretary for Physicians Insurance in Seattle, WA. After retiring she enjoyed traveling and in later years doing crosswords, reading and discussing/ arguing politics with her brother!

In her early days in Moscow, Judy enjoyed picnics on Moscow Mountain with her family, fishing Marble Creek with her dad and grandad and water skiing at the McGarvey’s cabin on Coeur D’Alene Lake.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Michelle Mix of New Castle, WA and her brother, Mike(Karen) McGarvey of Moscow, ID.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and P.E.O.

A graveside service for family will be held at a later date at Moscow Cemetery.
