Julie Ann Chandler

March 11, 1983 — March 4, 2025

Julie Ann Chandler, nee Bratcher, energetically entered the world of Dennis A. and Sharon L. Bratcher of Philadelphia PA on March 11, 1983. She married James Stephen Chandler III on December 30, 2006 and resided in Norristown PA until 2021 when they moved to Moscow Idaho to live near family members. After a terrible car accident on February 19, 2025, Julie spent two weeks enduring spinal surgery, pain, and physical therapy. Though she was improving daily, her heart unexpectedly failed on March 4th. .

Julie loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of her heart and often set herself to memorizing entire books of the New Testament. She often listened to podcasts and church services online. Her genuine faith in Christ can be expressed by 2 Corinthians 5:1, “For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in Heaven, not built by human hands.”

Julie was homeschooled for Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and then attended Reformation Christian School in Blue Bell PA until her graduation in 2000. She then began working for First Union Bank which later became Wachovia and finally Wells Fargo Bank. She progressed from a position as Teller to Head Teller, to Assistant Manager, to Private Banker during her 25 years with them. She excelled at every position she held and was highly praised by her coworkers and supervisors.

Though she only took a few college classes, she was a voracious lifelong learner. She absorbed information constantly, doing thorough research on topics that intrigued her. She played piano and organ well through her younger years, even accompanying her church congregation at times.

Julie loved to write and participated in NaNoWriMo – the November National Novel Writing Month several times. During the 12 years she participated, she wrote more than 242,000 words, twice hitting the goal of 50,000 words in one month. Her story ideas were fascinating, incorporating fantasy, science fiction, and history. As of now, she had not published. She loved listening to music and attending musicals and other plays with family members.

Julie is survived by her husband James, her parents Dennis and Sharon Bratcher, her sister Amy, brothers Brian (Alicia), Tim (Amanda), Kevin (Addie) and David, grandmother Christine Bratcher, several aunts and uncles, and 9 nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

Romans 8:18 states, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” Family members are grieving, yet knowing that Julie now resides in Heaven with her Lord. The fight is over.
