Karren Elaine Hash left this world at the age of 79 on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Karren was born on April 23, 1945, in Moscow, Idaho, to Wilbur D. Cone and Pearl Elaine Hamel. She attended schools in Moscow, Oregon, & Potlatch.
On October 21, 1961, at the age of 16, Karren married Jerald L. Hash. Jerry and Karren welcomed their only son, Mitch in 1963 and daughters, Camy in 1964, Teri in 1967 and Leanne in 1969.
Karren made her life's purpose raising their four children. She was an amazing seamstress making most of the kids’ school clothes, prom dresses, “Hash” jeans, her daughter-in-law, Lisa’s wedding dress and the coveted hunting shirts.
She taught her kids to cook, can, bake, crochet, quilt and sew. Not afraid of hard work, she helped get in firewood, washed clothes in a ringer washer, cooked at her brother, Jerry’s bar, and even sold Tupperware.
Some of her favorite pastimes were Elk watching, bowling with her mom in a bowling league, picking huckleberries, camping and enjoying hummingbirds.
Karren is survived by her son, Mitch (Lisa) Hash and three daughters; Camy (Tim) Womack, Teri (Rich) Skiles, Leanne (Rick) Goucher, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sister Barbara Sumner, brother Jerry (Betty) Cone, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jerry, her parents, and Jerry’s parents.
Karren loved her family and friends the best she knew how and always looked forward to sharing time with all of them. She will be deeply missed.
A time of remembrance will be held on Saturday, September 21st, at the Palouse River Community Center located in Princeton, ID at 1:00 pm. A meal will be provided. Please bring your memories to share.
