Kathleen Joyce Hawk

June 12, 1962 – July 30, 2022

Kathleen Joyce Hawk of Moscow, Idaho died Saturday, July 30, 2022, at her home. She was 60 years old.

Kathleen was born June 12, 1962, to Arthur Hawk and Beverly (Baker) Hawk at Sacred Heart Hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  She and her family then immediately moved to Homer, Alaska and lived there until 1974, when she moved to Moscow, Idaho. Kathleen attended Jr. and Sr. high school in Moscow, graduated from Moscow High School in 1980, and then attended the University of Idaho for two years before becoming a homemaker to her family.

Kathleen was an active member of the Eagles Lodge in Moscow and the Moscow First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing card games, especially Rummy and Gin Rummy in her downtime.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her father Arthur Hawk, Uncle Rolland J. Hawk, Cousin Cynthia J. Hawk and nephew Hamzah M. Abdelshife.

Kathleen is survived by her mother Beverly Hawk of Moscow, brother Kurtis Hawk of Mesquite, NV, sister Susan Abdelshife (Musa) of El Segundo, CA, and her children Patricia Sliger (Kyle) of Moscow, Jessica Sliger (Brandon) of Lewiston, Robert Sliger III (Rachel) of Moscow, Melanie Sliger of Moscow, Elizabeth Sliger of Junction City, KS, David Sliger of Moscow and nine grandchildren, six nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives.

There will be a graveside service for Kathleen at the Moscow City Cemetery on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 12:00 noon.
