Linda Louise Hammerly

Linda Louise Hammerly of Moscow died Wednesday from injuries received in an auto accident near Dusty, WA. She was 64. Linda was born May 28, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Charles and Ariel Lee Gamble Dumas. She started school in Chicago and later in Seattle. She worked as a waitress in California, Reno, NV and Seattle before moving to Moses Lake to care for her mother. On July 11, 1999 she and David R. Hammerly were married in Seattle. They lived in Moscow where Linda was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting antiques, working in her yard and flower gardens and her grapevines. She also loved animals. Surviving are her husband, David, at their Moscow home, three sisters, Jermiadine Brown, Marjorie Ellen Dumas, and Deautry Dumas and brothers, Willie, and Charles Dumas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Janet Dumas, Alfreda Cormier and Mary Liza Dumas and brothers, Walter and James Dumas. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 22nd at the Moscow Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Humane Society of the Palouse, P.O. Box 8847, Moscow, ID 83843.
