Marion M. Palmer, 100, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026 peacefully at home in Deary Idaho. Born on June, 21, 1925 in George Lake in Deerlodge county of Montana. She was the daughter of Leonard Oliff Halverson and Nellie (Pear) Halverson. She met and married her husband Frank (Max) Palmer on June, 8, 1947 in Missouri Valley Iowa. They later moved to Lewistown Montana and had 4 Children, Sharon, Shirley, Charles and Sandra. They moved to Oregon in 1965. They resided a number of years in Goble and Rainier Oregon. Marion worked 18 years before early retirement in Beaverton Oregon at Tektronix. She moved to Deary Idaho in 2005, and lived with her daughter Sandy and her husband Michael Pass, until her death. She loved writing poetry, making quilts and most of all playing pinochle. One of her quilts took first place at the county fair. Marion was preceded in death by her parents , husband Frank M. Palmer, daughter Shirley Palmer (Boals), 5 brothers, Frank, Ferdinand, Robert, Wesley and Abe, 3 sisters, Lorraine, Loretta and Arlene.
She leaves behind 3 children, Sharon Grassmick of Phoenix, AZ, favorite son Charles (Butch)Palmer of Hobson, MT and Sandra(Sandy)Pass of Deary, ID.
She had 6 Grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren. She had numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Celebration of life will be held on June, 20, 2026 at the Senior Center in Rainier Oregon from 2pm-4pm. Interment will be with family at Hudson Cemetery in Rainier Oregon.
