“Kappy” Marla K. Hoffman (formerly Flores), 64, of Moscow, Idaho, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026.
Kappy was born in Northern California to Beverely and Leonard Flores. She lived there until 1995, when she moved to Potlatch, Idaho, with her daughters, Kendra and Lacy. She dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a medical assistant at Potlatch Clinic and later at Palouse Urology.
In 2016, she married Alan Hoffman, whom she loved deeply and cared for with all her heart. Kappy enjoyed taking road trips with Alan, collecting souvenirs along the way. She found peace watching herds of elk and deer roam the Palouse and loved seeing the barn owls from the front porch of their home.
Kappy is survived by her loving husband, Alan; her daughters, Kendra and Lacy; her brother, Michael; her grandchildren, Kassidy, Layla, Kapris, Allanna, and Solace; and her father, Leonard. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverely.
The family will hold a small celebration of life at Kappy and Alan’s home in Moscow on Saturday, July 25. For details about this private gathering, please contact Kendra or Lacy at lilsweetpea1800@yahoo.com
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local homeless shelter in Kappy’s memory. If you have a special memory or story you’d like to share, the family would be honored if you sent a card or short note to Kendra or Lacy to be read during her celebration of life.
