Mary Ruth (Wingett) Horney

Mary Ruth Horney, 83, died on Saturday, May 16, 2015, in Payson, Arizona. She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Ernie, two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Bruce Williams, Carrie and Craig Swaby, four grandchildren Leah Douglas, Tal Williams, Sam Swaby, and Caleb Swaby, and three great-grandchildren Andy, Kirsty, and Ella Douglas. Born and raised in Spokane, Washington, to Charles and Ruth Wingett on July 4th, 1931, she then became a life long resident of Moscow, Idaho. Mary worked at Washington State University as a bookkeeper for 35 years before retiring in 1993. After her retirement, she and Ernie enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, and ATV riding throughout the beautiful Pacific Northwest, with many trips to Arizona over the years. Mary loved cross stitch, photography, reading, as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She served the community by being a part of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. She also enjoyed volunteering at the local Food Bank for a number of years. Mary and Ernie recently moved to Payson, Arizona, to be near their daughter.
