He is survived by his wife of 15½ years, Crystal Grayburn, whom he loved with unwavering loyalty and tenderness. Michael was a dedicated and very proud father to his son, Alexander Grayburn, age 14, who carries forward his kindness, curiosity, and resilience.

Right out of high school, Michael chose to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps, a chapter that shaped his discipline, loyalty, and deep sense of responsibility. He was incredibly smart—quick‑thinking, sharp, and capable in ways that made him the person everyone relied on. He was also a dedicated gamer, finding joy, challenge, and connection in the worlds he explored and the friends he made there.

He will be remembered for the way he made life feel safe and grounded, for his dark sense of humor, and for the countless small acts of care that revealed the depth of his love. His absence is felt in every corner of the home, and his memory will be held close in the everyday moments—his laugh, his voice, his way of fixing what needed fixing, and the way he always showed up for the people he loved.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Deary Seventh Day Adventist Church on October 10, 2026 at 6:00pm, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory, share stories, and hold one another close as they navigate this loss together.
