Nancy Lee Anderson was born June 28, 1961 in Moscow, Idaho to Darin Eugene and Virginia Ruth (Hurlbert) Anderson. She died of complications of ALS on February 19, 2021 in Seattle, Washington.
Following Nancy's graduation from Deary High School in Deary, Idaho she graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in micro-biology. While at the University she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She later graduated with a medical technology degree.
Nancy started her medical career as researcher for the Diabetes Research Foundation and a hematologist at Providence Hospital in Seattle. She then got her RN Degree from the University of Washington and worked at University Hospital as a nurse. At the time of her death, she was research nurse exploring stem-cell research at Fred Hutchinson.
Nancy was an avid football and baseball fan- rooting for her beloved Mariners and Seahawks. She was a creative cook and collected cookbooks and cooking gadgets. She was a member of the Lutheran Church wherever she lived.
A memorial service will be held for Nancy, Darin and Dale September 12, 2025 at 11:00am and Zion Lutheran Church in Deary, ID with a reception to follow.
