Owen Rode

Owen was born January 8, 1944 in Colfax, Washington to Art and Maxine Rode.

He attended grade school in Tensed, Idaho. He graduated from Plummer High School in 1963.

Shortly after high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corp.

Febuary 12, 1977 he married Joyce Scoles. They were married for 45 years at the time of his death.

Owen worked as a logger for various companies.

Owen is survived by his children. Brett Rode, Brad (Lisa) Rode, Leah (Tom) Groggett, Mary (Tom) Hobbs, Susan (Donald) Belchoff. His Grandchildren lit up his life. Tyler, Kyle and Hannah Groggett. Casey Hunt and Michael Hobbs. Jake Egan. Rowen and Brea Rode. Amie Rode.

Owen was preceded in death by his parents, his infant son Brian, and grandson Ryan.

Family burial will take place at a later date.

In memory of Owen, his family would like donations to be made to Potlatch Rural Fire District.
