Patsy Martson

Patsy Ruth Martson formerly of Moscow, died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Glenhaven Adult Family Home in Pullman. She was 81. Patsy was born March 24, 1935 at Fairmont, Nebraska to Chris and Alice (Svehla) Martson. The family moved to Moscow when she was a year old. In 1964 they moved to Spokane where she continued to live with her parents. Following her mother's death in 1999, Patsy moved to Clark House in Moscow. She had lived at Glen Haven for the past three years. Patsy was a very social person and enjoyed family events. Since moving to Pullman, she was an active participant with the Circles of Caring Adult Day Health, rarely missing an opportunity to ride the bus and do crafts and other activities. Pasty and her twin brother Paul were very close, having a special bond. In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul, Francis, Richard, William and Jim. She is survived by her brother Robert Martson of Moscow and a sister, Alice Domrese of Spokane as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all of Patsy's caregivers throughout her life, especially the staff at Glen Haven the past three years. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Moscow Cemetery. Pastor Paul Barber, Gentiva Hospice Chaplain will officiate. A lunch and a time of remembrance will follow at the Moscow Eagle's Lodge on Main Street. Memorials are suggested to Circles of Caring Adult Day Health, 588 SE Bishop Blvd, Pullman, WA 99163 or to Dial-A-Ride Bus Service, c/o City of Pullman. Arrangements have been entrusted to Short's Funeral Chapel, Moscow, and online condolences may be sent to www.shortsfuneralchapel.net.
