Paul Clayton Tousley was born in Palo Alto, California, on April 27, 1954, to Clayton Frank Tousley and MaDonna Dutson. He passed in Moscow, Idaho, on November 19, 2025, at 3:35 p.m., with his family gathered around him. Paul was known for his hard work ethic, love of music, passion for his dogs, willingness to help a friend, woodworking skills, and ability to fix anything. He is described as an easy-to-get-along-with guy who loved people from all walks of life.
Paul is survived by his sisters, Darlene Tousley Price, Sherry Joyce George, and LeAnn Tousley Gunnell; his brother, John Bradford Tousley; and his stepmother, Joan Smith Tousley. Paul was blessed with all girls: MaDonna Tousley, Miranda Tousley, Chelle Tousley Abel, Madison Tousley, and his stepdaughter, Jessica Knight Feucht.
Paul lost both his mother and father by the time he was eighteen, which was a crushing blow for him as a young man. He grew up in Colorado Springs and Sacramento, California. He served in the United States Air Force, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business, worked as a general manager of a large retail company, traveled across the United States as a long-haul and ice-road trucker, produced, marketed, and DJed at a radio station in Lewiston, Idaho, and worked in his favorite of all jobs: handyman extraordinaire.
These last several years, he was the lead producer of Palouse Project and Vinyl Skies, providing young musical artists with the opportunity to sing, play instruments, and perform for large community gatherings. Beyond his dogs, music was the thing that made him most happy in the final years of his life.
A gathering of local friends for stories and tributes was held on November 20, 2025, at the Corner Club in Moscow, Idaho. Paul will be laid to rest on his birthday in April 2026 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Millcreek, Utah, near his mother’s and father’s graves.
Paul will be remembered for his generosity, his quiet strength, and the countless lives he brightened through his kindness, his craft, and his music.
