Robert William Becker, born on February 20, 1932, in Burlington, Colorado, passed away on November 8, 2025, at Paradise Creek of Cascadia in Moscow, Idaho. He lived a life marked by dedication to family, community, and country.
Bob`s education began at Hatter Cr, then Princeton, then Potlatch, where he developed a strong foundation that would support his varied career. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Shawver, on May 31, 1952.He served in the United States Army from September 1952 to August 1954. After his military service, Bob established a career at Gorden`s Electric and worked as a sawyer in several area sawmills. In 1966 he started Bob Becker Electric, where he operated the business for 32 years.
Throughout his life, Bob pursued activities that brought him joy, including hunting, fishing, atv, snowmobiling, gardening and painting. These interests not only provided recreation but also opportunities for bonding with family and friends, creating lasting memories in the great outdoors. Bob and Marilyn enjoyed spending winters in Yuma,Arizona with family and friends.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Marilyn. Children: Rob (Janice) Becker, Cindy (Doug) Deschamp, Kathy (Daryl) Minden, and Keith (Janice) Becker. "Papa Bob" was a proud grandfather to Greg Becker, Brandi Garcia, Lacie Snow, Ty Deschamp, Nicole Hults, Brock Minden, Bryan Becker, Susie Needham, Ken LaDow, and Karen Smith. Additionally, "Papa Bob" cherished his role as a great grandfather to 19 great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Addie Becker, as well as his brothers, Alan and Ron Becker, his sister Jeanne Tietz, and his great-grandson, Brysen Hults. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the love he shared. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. A special thank you to Tari Becker for her kindness throughout the years and being there when he passed. Thank you to Paradise Creek of Cascadia for the care of dad. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to a choice of your liking.
