Robert E. "Bob" Heisch

Robert E. Heisch of Moscow died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at his home. He was 55. Bob was born February 19, 1959 at Daly City, CA to Harold E. (Hal) and Betty Heidegger Heisch. He grew up and attended school in San Jose, CA, graduating from high school there. He worked as a dietary aid at Stanford University Hospital for a time and was married to Joan Charves at Mill Valley, CA on September 6, 1980. They made their home in Burlingame and Marin County, CA where Bob worked as a press operator in the printing business. They moved to Moscow in 1984 and Bob worked for the Appaloosa Horse Club, the University of Idaho and was a merchandiser for American Greeting Cards. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his children. Surviving are his wife, Joan, at their Moscow home, his children Theresa and Russell Cox of Grangeville, Charles Heisch of Moscow and Dave Heisch of Seattle. He also leaves his siblings, Bill (Joann) of Auburn, CA, Don (Lorrie) of Cummings, GA, Cathy Towner of Modesto, CA, Nancy Heisch of Watsonville, CA and Susan (Howard) Wolf of Cameron Park, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow. A reception will be held at the CROSSing church on Travois way following the service. The family suggests memorials be made to the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department or to a charity of the donor's choice.
