Sheila Wells, 72, died surrounded by her loved ones on April 3 at her home in Moscow, Idaho. She had been diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer only 2 weeks prior. She had also been quietly battling Parkinson's disease for over 10 years. Born Sheila Ane Baker, on June 30, 1944 in Moscow, Idaho, she lived there her entire adult life. She was an exceptionally devoted and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Sheila was married to Pat Wells in 1961 and they raised three children, Greg, Joanie and Jeanne. Pat and Sheila have 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, with another very soon to be born.
Sheila served in the Coast Guard Reserves for 2 years in the mid 1970's, and she enjoyed her work there.
Sheila began and ran her own wallpapering business, Cover Ups, for over 25 years in Moscow, Idaho. She was praised for her fine quality of workmanship as well as her professional dedication and her friendly demeanor.
Sheila found her greatest joy and purpose in committing herself to her husband Pat, and raising her children. Sheila gave of herself completely and tirelessly to her family her entire life. Although she lost her loving husband, Pat Wells two years ago, she lived and grieved with dignity and grace. She continued to give courageously and selflessly to her family. Words cannot express her dedication, sacrifice and selflessness to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to being a loving daughter and sister, she was a loyal friend and good neighbor to many.
Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Patrick Wells; mother, Carrie Foote; father, James Baker; step-father, Herb Foote; brother, Milan Baker; and granddaughter, Ashli Salisbury.
She is survived by her son Greg (Merri) of Coeur d Alene, her daughters, Joanie Wells Salisbury and Jeanne (Britt) Lindhorst of Moscow, and her sister Gwen Baker of Spokane, WA.
The family will be holding a private memorial service.
