Stephen Peace

August 4, 1951 — January 17, 2026

Steve Peace passed away on January 17 at his home in Moscow, ID from natural causes.

Steve was born on August 4, 1951 at St. Anthony's Mercy Hospital in Pocatello, ID. He attended St. Joseph's  catholic elementary school until 8th grade. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1969 and then attended Idaho State University and studied forestry.

He worked in that field for a while and then went to Vetch at ISU and became a machinist, which he did for most of his life, building everything from French fry cutters to gun barrels.

Steve loved the outdoors, working for the forest service in high school as a fire fighter around Salmon, ID. He was an avid and successful hunter and fisherman and had an extensive gun collection. He was a member of a muzzle loader club and went to many meets dressed in period authentic clothing. He had an extensive arrowhead collection and like anything related to the Native American way of life. He was an avid Motorcyclist and owned many very nice motorcycles.

Steve never married but spent a good part of his life with Vicki Kendall, the love of his life. Although they separated years ago  they remained friends.

He is survived by his brothers Martin and Russ of Pocatello, and Mike of McCammon, ID. His sisters Martha of Pocatello Susan of whitefish, MT and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Allan.

He will be missed by everyone and we are looking forward to the day we can go on a motorcycle ride and hunting and fishing in another world.

Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
