Susan spent her early years in Germany, growing up and attending school in Frankfurt before embarking on a path that would lead her across continents. Shortly after high school, she honored her country by joining the United States Air Force. Her service took her from the skies over Colorado and Florida to the historic lands of Turkey, experiences that enriched her perspective and forged lifelong memories.

Following her military service, Susan settled into a meaningful career in Human Resources for Whitman County. Through her work, she supported countless individuals, bringing empathy and compassion to her role and fostering a workplace environment built on respect and understanding. Her colleagues would remember her not just as a professional but as a beacon of kindness and joyful resilience.

Beyond her career, Susan found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid cook, delighted in tending to her garden, and lovingly cared for her animals, finding peace and purpose in nurturing both the earth and its creatures. These hobbies were expressions of her nurturing nature and her unyielding zest for life’s smaller joys.

Susan was a devoted mother to three beloved daughters: Michelle Loup, Linda Hubbel, and Christine Carlson.She is also remembered with heartfelt affection as the cherished daughter of Jack and Elizabeth Bell, who preceded her in death.

Susan’s departure leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who knew her and Her presence will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
