The family and friends of Cecelia Schoeffler Flinn announce her passing after a years long battle with Alzheimers.
Born May 5, 1951 to Frank and Dolores Schoeffler, Celia’s humor, charisma, and wit was evident in her vibrant life. She loved her family and friends with every piece of her heart, which spilled over with generosity and ebullience. She’ll be remembered for the skill, creativity, and curiosity of her art, photography, writing, editing and career supporting and advocating for individuals with disabilities.
Celia passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023, at the age of 72. She is survived by her son, Aaron Bretthauer, granddaughter, Malia Bretthauer, and daughter-in-law, Ali Bretthauer, as well as her siblings Mary Schierman, Carol Westacott, Susan Jeffries, Charles Schoeffler, sister-in-law Barbara Burns Schoeffler, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
Celia’s legacy as an artist, professional, and indelible member of the Moscow community will live on in the hearts and minds of those whose lives she touched. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
