JACK KIDD Obituary

Jack Eugene Kidd, 71, of Moscow passed away peacefully on October 17, 2018.

Jack was born September 15, 1947 in Spokane, Washington. He grew up in Post Falls with his dear mother, Margaret “Jean,” and father, Jim Pilik. Jack attended and graduated from Post Falls High School, where he thoroughly enjoyed participating in football, basketball, and track. Jack loved his country and following high school served in the Army from. After the service, Jack worked at Buttrey’s, where he met the love of his life, Judy.  Jack later spent the majority of his career meeting and serving his community as an insurance agent with Farm Bureau.

The highlight of Jack’s life was getting to spend it with his wife Judy. They married January 28, 1974 and soon moved from Lewiston to Moscow, where they remained and raised their children Tami Kidd and Sean Brogan. Jack and Judy loved traveling, especially to the Oregon Coast. They loved spending time at their ranch outside of Deary, having 5am coffee, building and rebuilding cabins and sheds, and riding ATV’s with their best friends, Randy and Gayle Noble.

Jack was extraordinarily proud of his family and spent many afternoons cheering from the sidelines of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He and Judy have six grandchildren—Christopher, Ryan, Seana, Cady, Aidan, and Jacob—who all lovingly knew him as Boppa. He also had the chance to be Boppa to his great-grandson, Oliver.

A humble and warm man, Jack touched the souls of many. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, Boppa, uncle, brother, neighbor, and friend. He had a gift for making everyone feel like family.

Jack is survived by his wife, Judy Kidd; his children, Tami Kidd and Sean (Amy) Brogan; his sisters, Marilyn Gardner and Linda Olson; and his grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of his life on Friday, October 26th, 2018 at 10am at Shorts Funeral Chapel in Moscow, Idaho.
