Obituary

James (Edd) Edgar Benson, of Moscow, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the age of 92. He was at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’ Alene with a long struggle with Parkinson’s and Dementia. Edd was born in Moscow, Idaho, in 1930 to James and Ida Benson. Edd spent his life on his family’s farm in Moscow, married his lifelong love Dorris (Sally) Marie Benson in 1954 and had five kids.

Edd was proceeded in death by his wife Sally, his parents, and son Pat. Edd is survived by his four children, Sharon Benson, Barbara Goody, Bob Benson and Penny Peterson. As well as his 6 grandchildren, James, Jesse, Lee, Nicole, Melissa, and Heather, and 6 great grandchildren.

Edd had a busy life, he served in the Army, owned the family farm, and was a trailer court owner, a jack of all trades. Edd and his wife loved traveling in their motor home. They spent several years wintering in Yuma, Arizona.

Edd loved Nature and the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his kids and friends. While Edd will be missed by many, they can take comfort in the fact that he is looking over them with a grin on his face and love in his heart.
